Circle dancing is one of the most ancient forms of dance and is still danced at community events and celebrations in many parts of the world. Set to a mix of traditional ‘world’ and contemporary music some dances are energetic and lively while others are gentle, reflective and meditative.
You will experience music and movement as a path to relax and connect to ourselves, each other and the spiritual energy of the earth. No experience required.
Bio: Wendy Purves-Lambie studied Sacred Circle Dance in Findhorn, Scotland, a spiritual community and the ‘birthplace’ of this practise as we currently know it. She has since travelled the world and experienced how dance is used to connect spiritually, in ritual and for just plain fun. Wendy brings a light-hearted teaching style to the dance that encourages laughter, joy and deep connecting.
